Ritchie List is Ritchie Bros.’ self-serve listing service for buying & selling equipment & trucks privately in North America. Ritchie List also offers a full range of tools, services, data and info to help you complete sales safely, securely, and with total confidence.

While Ritchie List mainly serves as a listing site, you’ll have access to additional buying and selling services from the Ritchie Bros. family of solutions. We have more than 60 years of experience in the industry, from providing data insights and services to asset management and multiple selling solutions.

For Mascus users who were migrated from Mascus Seller Admin to our Inventory Management System (IMS) from Ritchie Bros. Asset Solutions, you can sign in to Ritchie List with your existing Mascus credentials.

For Private Sellers who have a Mascus account, if you sign in to Ritchie List with the email you previously used to log in to Mascus, the system will display an error message. You will need to create a new account on Ritchie List with an existing or new email.

For Invoiced Sellers who were already on our IMS prior to Ritchie List launching, signing in to Ritchie List with an existing Mascus email will not work. You will need to create a new account on Ritchie List with an existing or new email.

No, international Mascus sites remain active and will continue to serve for listings outside of North America. Ritchie List will list assets located in North America and will be replacing Mascus.com

We will set you up with cloud-based access to our Inventory Management System (IMS) from Ritchie Bros. Asset Solutions.

Within the IMS, you can upload inventory spreadsheets or create single listings in Ritchie List.

We offer you an unlimited number of listings after you subscribe to our monthly agreement.

You can list one at a time or upload a list of multiple items into Ritchie List from the Inventory Management System (IMS).

Listings are managed within the IMS. Sign in to Ritchie List or directly into the IMS, and your assets will be available on the Inventory page where you can make edits to the information in a listing, as well as remove a listing.

Contact requests will be sent directly to your personal/business email inbox, and are also available in IMS (Messages option) where you can also reply. Buyers can also call you directly or send WhatsApp messages if you have chosen that option.

You will receive a Contact Request notification email immediately when a potential Buyer fills out and sends the contact form on Ritchie List. This notification is also available in the IMS (go to Messages) for a signed in user. You will also receive a weekly digest of received requests.

A reminder email will be sent to the Seller if, during a follow-up email to the Buyer, the Buyer has indicated that no contact with the Seller has occurred.

PurchaseSafe™ is Ritchie Bros.’ secure transaction management service that eliminates the risk and hassle when transacting privately. When you use PurchaseSafe™, Ritchie Bros. handles the invoicing, lien searches, sales documentation, secure funds transfer, taxation, and title transfer.

  • We hold the payment for the Seller until we are sure that your item is ready to pick up

As a Seller, there is no cost to you. The buyer requests and pays for the PurchaseSafe™ service.

You will receive an email notification with Buyer contact details. Email or call the Buyer to negotiate the sale.

Alternatively, Sellers can sign into Ritchie List, navigate to the IMS (Manage Listings), view Want To Buy requests and respond to Buyers.

While Ritchie List is accessible worldwide, the site is focused specifically on serving Buyers and Sellers in North America.

Sign into the Inventory Management System:

  • Once in the IMS, navigate to the inventory page and locate the listing you want to remove
  • Click on the three elipses
  • Select the Ritchie List workflow button
  • Select Sold or Expired and choose the reason – you will be asked to confirm that you want to remove the listing

You can answer questions from your inbox in the Inventory Management System, or from your personal/business emails. You can also give Buyers the option of contacting you via phone or WhatsApp

Sign into the Inventory Management System and go to

  • Navigate to My Settings
  • Go to Company Settings
  • Edit company info and make sure you click on the Save button at the bottom of the page

Sign into the Inventory Management System:

  • Navigate to My Account
  • Choose Company Settings
  • Go to Want To Buy ads
  • Select Region, Industry and Type of Equipment you want to receive Want To Buy ads for
  • Make sure to Save your settings
Private Seller topics

You need to have an account with Ritchie List. Click on the Create an Account tab at the top of the home page.

Only US$9 (CAD $9) for each listing

Sign in to RitchieList.com and select the Create Listing option which will automatically take you to the Add Listing page on the IMS. Follow the instructions on that page to create a listing.

Please note:

  • You must complete your listing payment prior to publishing the listing
  • Your completed listing will be sent for review with our internal team before being published.

Sign in to RitchieList.com and select the Manage Listing option

Once you are automatically taken to the IMS, go to My Listings and select the listing you want to edit. Follow the instructions to either edit or remove your listing.

Note: Before your updated/edited listing is published, it will be sent for review with our internal team before being re-published.

At this time Private Sellers cannot see or receive Want To Buy ads placed by buyers. You can only place them as a Buyer.

  • Go into assets you are selling
  • Select the asset you want to remove
  • Click on the three elipses
  • Select workflow
  • Select Sold or Expired and choose the reason – you will be asked to confirm that you want to remove the listing

The Inventory Management System is free to use.

For unlimited listings on Ritchie List, the monthly subscription is US$99 or CA$129.

No, you don’t need to create an account to search and view or to post a Want To Buy ad. However, to take full advantage of all the benefits of Ritchie List, we recommend you create a free account to:

Yes, you can use the search box to enter and search by these identifiers

  • Go to My Account and select Submit a Want To Buy ad
  • Fill out the form and submit
  • Signed in users can select Submit a Want To Buy ad from the menu
  • The Want To Buy ad functionality is also available in the search results page
  • Get new listing alert gives you the option to receive email notifications when new listings matching your search criteria are published
  • Available for signed in users only
  • To manage your alerts, go to Saved Searches on the top right hand menu and select the alert for which you want to edit notification frequency or delete the alert.

Note: Alerts are active for 90 days at which point it will be automatically removed.

Currently, SMS or text notification, or the ability to edit the alert name is available.

You can add a listing to My Favorites by clicking on the badge icon in the upper right hand side of the picture either from the search results page or the listing details page. You must be signed in to use this feature
